PARIS (Reuters) – Danish-born actress Anna Karina, some of the acclaimed luminaries of influential French New Wave cinema, has died of most cancers at age 79, her agent mentioned on Sunday.
Karina, well-known for her kohl-rimmed blue eyes, was the frequent muse of director Jean-Luc Godard, her first husband, starring in seven of his movies together with “A Girl is a Girl”, “Pierrot Le Fou” and “Bande a Half” (Band of Outsiders).
